Best-selling books for 2007

I thought I would compile a list of the best-selling books from the last 6 months.

• The Vice Photo Book - moderately priced at $45.00, this contains all the Vice Magazine photographers you have come to love. Very nicely printed with multiple paper stocks this a must-have!! Plus it’s got pictures of nekkid people in it.

• Full Vinyl - One of my personal favorite toy books. It is the most well-rounded of the toy books produced in the last few years. Plus, it has a photo of my hand-painted KawsxPushead Companion on page 26 (middle-left). $29.95

• Banksy - Wall and Piece - Love him or hate him, he’s here to stay. Enough said. $22.99

• Disposable - A History of Skateboard Art - A time capsule of skateboard art. From Jim Phillips to Pushead and everyone in-between. Relive your youth!! $29.95

• Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters - One of my faves. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on our April art show. Adrian Wright takes on Toho in “Destroy All Monsters” happening April 4th at the store. $40.00

• Goth-icky - From the files of Charles S. Anderson Design, all the creepy graphics you will ever need. $15.95

• Pop Art - Taschen keeps art books affordable with this $12.99 book. Part of the Taschen 25th Anniversary collection.

• My Hunger For Venison - Gary Baseman gives us another peek into his world. Also contains a 32-page mini-sketchbook inside! Thanks again Gary for a great event this past summer. $29.95

• Murakami - A doorstop of a book, the most comprehensive book of his work yet. I am envious of anyone that was lucky enough to see his show at the MOCA. $65.00

• Fushigi Circus - Mark Ryden’s second book, and the only one currently available. A small but beautiful book. $35.00

• Tattoo Darling: The Art of Angelique Houtkamp - Some very nicely done traditional tattoo art with a feminine touch. $19.95

• Usugrow - Love Hate From JP - You may recognize his work from Upper Playground, Juxtapoz, or Secret Base. A compact hardback full of great black and white art, a must for fans of tattoos, skulls, or just good brush work. $19.95
